The 4th and Other Shenanigans

 How cute is my niece Morgan!? She had her outfit together from head to toe! From her cute red bow and blue watch down to her kickin' red toms! Perfect 4th of July blog material! Thanks Morgan! :)

And then I realized...I wore the same thing last year! Hanging out outdoors in the almost 100 degree heat makes an old tank top and cutoffs essential for the day. We gardened and hung out with family in the country all day long. Then topped it off with the nearest fireworks show. I still can't bear to pass up fireworks on the 4th of July!

I've had my eye on this shirt for a few months and after watching a girl that passed by it in the store stop, touch it and then blurt out "Eww, SO Truck driver!" my aspirations of wearing it began to dwindle. I guess it was just meant to be because it was the one and only that didn't sell over a matter of months. I decided to take the challenge of wearing it and not looking like a truck driver or any other typical wearer of the sleeveless cutoff denim shirt. I knew I had to counter it with something ultra girly and happened to have the perfect skirt already hanging in my closet. What could be more girly than ruffles? Throw on a neon purse, some heels and a bun....Whaa-La! And the sunglasses just topped it off! 

Leopard Lovers

My feet are official leopard lovers. I have been in search for a pair of leopard shoes and found them glistening on the new arrivals shelf at TJMaxx last week! The giant wedge makes them purrrrr-fect for standing and walking in all day! It was love at first sight and since they were the only 7.5 I had to act fast! I can't wait to mix and match them with everything possible. I also would like to say a special thank-you-very much to my hubs of almost 4 years for helping me get better pics than I can take of my accessories :) You're the BEST!

Mint! This mint color is everywhere and awesome. How cool that I got to use this vintage magazine clutch tonight that also belonged to my grandmother! I have let it sit on a shelf in my studio for too long but tonight it was the perfect accessory.

These boots are by far one of my favorite pairs to wear. I'm going to be taking them to the boot doctor to get resoled sooner than later. They have truly stood the test of time seeing as they belonged to my grandmother who probably wore them a good 30-40 years ago!! I wish I had a picture of her wearing them too....I'll look into that.

Its always fun wearing something for the first time and today I got to enjoy 3 new additions to my wardrobe. First, a great pair of black wedges from Target...I made it through the entire day on my feet but definitely have slightly sore toes, Second my gold stud bracelet that I've been dying to stack with my watch and lastly this cool collar necklace which will be fun to wear in all different ways!
