I am obsessed with these hidden wedge sneakers!! YES there is a wedge hidden in those bad boys that would probably make me like sneakers A LOT more! Standing at only 5' 3 and a half normal sneaks just don't do it for these little legs! BUT If I can stand taller even in a pair of tricked out kicks! I'm there! Definitely on the hunt for the perfect pair starting....NOW!

Funfetti Top
Top: Hazel from TJMaxx/ Coral Skinnies: Just USA from Haute Hanger/ Belt: Mom's/ Wedges: Dolce Vita/ Crossbody: Tory Burch from Finicky Filly/ Watch: Michael Kors/ Hair tie: Emi-Jay/ Bracelets: Haute Hanger
I like to call this my "Funfetti" shirt because it reminds me of that cake that's full of sprinkles! I love it almost as much as I love eating that cake! I thought it was perfect paired with my coral high waist skinnies since it is a little cropped. My sweet assistant manager Ashton snapped these pics for me after work right before the storm hit. Perfect timing :)

Free People
Tunic Dress: Free People/ Necklaces: So Good Jewelry, F21 & Rose Bowl Flea Market/ Watch: Michael Kors/ Headband: Made it this AM!/ Hand painted boots: Emily Ellison
"The first purpose of clothes... was not warmth or decency, but ornament.... Among wild people, we find tattooing and painting even prior to clothes. The first spiritual want of a barbarous man is decoration; as indeed we still see among the barbarous classes in civilized countries." ~Thomas Carlyle
Had to throw that cool quote in! I can't express how much I love Free People clothing. This is one of the few pieces I own BUT its also one of my faves! Decided to go super free and funky today with this loose fitting dress and my painted boots....and of course I then felt the urge to make a new headband to go with the whole ensemble!

The 4th and Other Shenanigans
How cute is my niece Morgan!? She had her outfit together from head to toe! From her cute red bow and blue watch down to her kickin' red toms! Perfect 4th of July blog material! Thanks Morgan! :)
And then I realized...I wore the same thing last year! Hanging out outdoors in the almost 100 degree heat makes an old tank top and cutoffs essential for the day. We gardened and hung out with family in the country all day long. Then topped it off with the nearest fireworks show. I still can't bear to pass up fireworks on the 4th of July!
JULY 3rd.....
Taken at Fort Moultrie, Sullivan's Island SC
Mom's old concho belt...So glad it ended up in my closet!
First day rockin' my sunny's from Quay Eyewear
My Kate Spade cross body bag was the perfect pop of color!
Sleeveless denim button down: Nameless/ Skirt: MM Couture/ Shoes: BCBG
I've had my eye on this shirt for a few months and after watching a girl that passed by it in the store stop, touch it and then blurt out "Eww, SO Truck driver!" my aspirations of wearing it began to dwindle. I guess it was just meant to be because it was the one and only that didn't sell over a matter of months. I decided to take the challenge of wearing it and not looking like a truck driver or any other typical wearer of the sleeveless cutoff denim shirt. I knew I had to counter it with something ultra girly and happened to have the perfect skirt already hanging in my closet. What could be more girly than ruffles? Throw on a neon purse, some heels and a bun....Whaa-La! And the sunglasses just topped it off!
