Easy Does It

Dress: Billabong/ Vest: American Eagle/ Necklace: F21/ Head band: Target/ Boots: my grandmothers!

I felt like wearing something easy today which led to choosing this bandeau dress from billabong. The bold print and colors pulled me in. I've also yet to wear a headband this way so, with the look of the vest and boots (which actually belonged to my grandmother!) I decided to try it out. Easy was the thought I had this morning but that changed a few hours into work when I had the task of changing lightbulbs in the display window-requiring me to bend down...I'm sure it was a sight for people passing by but luckily I made it through without embarrassing myself!

Polka-dot Cowgirl

Dress: Goodwill/ Belt: Forever21/ Boots: Thrifted

This dress was another lucky find at goodwill. It was actually mid-calf length originally but I tried it on because I loved the pattern and color so much. I knew it would be great once altered. SO I decided to take advantage of one last warm day while I still have a little summer sun left to wear it. I also love the reaction I get when telling people its from goodwill!

Long legs Louise

top:Roxy/ Jeans:Forever 21/ Wedges: Target/ Glasses:SEE Eyewear

Long Legs Louise is an oxymoron...I got the short gene from both my grandmothers Betty and Louise BUT putting on these high rise bell bottoms and a pair of wedges really made me feel tall for the day. Nice for a change :)

Smiling Pretty

Top: Gracia/ Skirt: Moon Collection/ Sweater: Ya Los Angeles/ Flats: Cinderollies

This cute outfit was put together by my Oh SO stylish cousin-in-love (husbands cousin) Athena! I had to represent our store on the local news station this morning as well as these awesome emergency flats that we carry called Cinderollies. They are perfect for keeping in your purse if you are a high heel lover. Not only do they give your feet a rest but they keep you looking stylish!

Roxy strikes again

Top: Roxy/ Shorts: Forever21/ Shoes:Sam Edelman from Marshall's/ Bandeau:TJMaxx

I just can't help wearing Roxy and wearing it often. Like this crop top that I just searched and found you can still get on their website under the sale section for $22.25! It comes in black too...and yes I own it. So since it's cropped and such a bold pattern, I thought something high waisted like these faux leather shorts I fell in love with at Forever21. Then, my steal of the year shoes...embellished Sam Edelman gladiator flats originally $110 but on clearance in Marshall's for $10!!! Hollla!

Urban Cowgirl

Top:H&M/ Vest:Roxy/ Scarf: Mom's/ Skinny Jeans: Target/ Boots: Thrifted

It all started with the scarf. I love wearing it with this studded denim vest from Roxy that begged me to take it home from the rack at Ross! Its SO exciting to find something fun where you least expect it. Then I added a nice long tank from H&M along with a comfy pair of skinny jeans from Target and a favorite pair of vintage thrifted boots. Giddy up :)

All in Goodwill...

Top and shorts:Goodwill/ Belt:Mom's/ Blazer:Urban Outfitters

What lucky finds I had in Goodwill a couple months ago to create this outfit. I loved these shorts and the only adjusting they needed was a flip of the cuff to make them the perfect length. The top was an easy change too-I just cut out the unnecessary shoulder pads. To complete the two I added an awesome old belt of my mom's. Love it!

A dream come true!

Kline Street for John&Elizabeth/ Little Italy Mercato
 ....more Mercato
 Building art
Mermaid statue at the Maritime Museum/Sunset at Mission Beach

Our wish came true! The sun came out and made for a sunny and warm last day. We explored the biggest farmers market I've ever been to in Little Italy, downtown San Diego. Next we took the bridge back over to Coronado Island to soak up the sunshine and then ended the day with dinner at World Famous in Mission Beach. Not ready to head back to reality tomorrow but excited to plan my next trip out for more of the California coast.

...In a nut shell

Day one: walked around La Jolla and had a great dinner at Wahoo's Fish Taco
Day 2: Surfing at Mission Beach and tour of the Stone Brewery in Escondido

Day 3:San Diego Zoo
Day 4: Coronado Island, Mission San Luis Rey and Temecula Wine Country
2 Favorite stops...In and Out Burger and Fashion Valley Mall
Thank God for family in California :)

So this is my week thus far in a nut shell. I've been staying in La Jolla with my dad for our first trip ever to California.
I LOVE it! We've gone up the coast and inland a bit. It is definitely colder than I expected but a nice break from the South Carolina heat and humidity. Hoping for a sunny last day!

3 for One

Steve Madden Suede Booties: On sale at Marshall's Homegoods $60
Charlotte Russe: Faux Suede Booties $38.50/ Lace up pump boot on sale $9.99/Graphic Sweatshirt on sale with BFF    discount $10

So, even though I loveeee the Steve Madden suede booties and have wanted them since last season and can now get them for a much better price....I had to return them after seeing a pair so similar but for so much less at Charlotte Russe. I decided that I would rather have two different style booties for the price of one! The graphic sweatshirt got thrown in last minute when I gave in to the text message special they were running in store :)

I Heart Roxy

One shoulder T-shirt and denim jeggings:Roxy/Shoes:Mom's/Earrings:Target/watch:Billabong

I do. I'll admit it. I LOVE me some ROXY! I realized after shooting these that I carried around a Roxy messenger bag all day too that I could have included. I just can't get enough! Also had fun sporting mom's old wood block and leather wedges even though I sound like a horse clopping when I walk in them!

2 days 2 turbans

First 3 images: Turban:Forever21/ Aviators: Ray-Ban/ Lace top:Belk/Denim vest:American Eagle/jeans: Levi's via Ross
Last 3 images: Turban:Self sewn!/Romper:Charlotte Russe/Wedges:Target/Watch:Michael Kors

Due to a spur of the moment decision to go surfing Wednesday night I woke up Thursday morning with beachy hair that I didn't want to wash away...So I decided to throw on a turban- thanks to inspiration from one of my favorite bloggers Julie from Sincerely, Jules and Forever21. Friday morning I still lacked desire to wash my now tangled beach hair SO again, a turban- this time one that I made myself! Yes I am proud of it BUT Look how cute This one is for under $4 at F21!!
